LHL and Grease Systems

No grease coming from the pump

  • Low grease level — Replace grease cartridge
  • Change in grease consistency, too thick to pump — Check grease grade and temperature
  • Only drawing air — Open the vent plug to release air from the pump
  • Motor rotating in the wrong direction — Check motor wiring
  • Solenoid valve (if present) not activating — Replace solenoid valve and check connection polarity

No pressure increase in the main line

  • Pressure relief valve dirty — Clean the relief valve
  • Air in the pipe system — Loosen the plug at the furthest point and run the pump to purge air
  • Check the system for faulty connections — Fix any issues found
  • Damage to the piping system — Repair or replace damaged piping components

No grease coming from the valves

  • Pressure relief valve not functioning — for automatic release models: Inspect the valve
  • Valve clogged — Replace valve
  • No grease in the secondary line (from valve to bearing) — Fill with grease during initial installation

Air in the main line

  • Air ingress on the suction side — Low grease level in tank, fill tank with correct grease grade
  • Piping system damaged — Repair or replace damaged components

Pump not running but indicator is on

  • Incorrect wiring — Check motor wiring
  • Safety switch in OFF position — Press the reset button

Fault indicator is lit

  • Pump operation time not set correctly — Check delivery setting
  • Grease level too low — Replace grease cartridge

Fault indicator cannot be reset

  • Reset button was not pressed — Press reset button

Oil Lubrication Systems

The pump does not dispense oil

  • Low oil level in the tank — Add the currently used oil
  • Clogged intake filter — Clean or replace the oil filter and clean the tank
  • Check for unsuitable oil — If unsuitable, clean the entire system, clean the tank, and fill it with the correct oil
  • Motor rotates in the wrong direction — Check motor wiring
  • Damaged internal pump lines — Repair or replace
  • Bypass valve misadjusted — Correctly adjust the bypass valve
  • Check inlet and outlet check valves — Disassemble and clean

Note: Never equip a pump with a check valve if not originally intended.

No pressure buildup in the main line

  • Check for brittle pipe sections and leaky fittings — Replace as needed
  • Ball seat of the pressure relief valve is clogged — Clean the valve
  • Air in the piping system — Check for leaks, open the system at the farthest point and run the pump to vent the air
  • Incorrect control unit or flow regulator selected — Check manufacturer’s recommendation and replace with the correct unit
  • Incorrect pressure setting (gear pump) — Adjust bypass settings
  • Damaged O-ring on piston (piston pump) — Replace
  • Oil leakage from the distribution block — Properly tighten the fitting or replace the pipe connector

Air in the system

  • Oil level in the tank too low — Fill with the correct oil and vent the system as described above
  • Damaged pipeline — Replace damaged line

No oil flows through the flow regulator/control unit

  • Check flow direction at the hex surface of the regulator or control unit — If incorrect, replace with a functional unit
  • Check for clogged unit — Replace unit

Pump does not run, but operation light is on

  • Motor incorrectly connected — Check motor wiring
  • Circuit breaker is in OFF position — Press the RESET button

Error indicator light is on

  • Delivery duration set too short, pump does not reach correct pressure — Check time settings
  • Level switch triggered due to low oil level — Fill tank with correct oil

Oil level in tank is correct, but warning indicator is on

  • Malfunction in A/B contacts of oil level switch — Contact us

Error indicator cannot be switched off

  • RESET button not pressed — Press RESET
  • No oil added to tank — Fill with correct oil
  • Pump did not reach specified pressure — Contact us
